Its been quite awhile since I’ve been on here, but all is good. Work, home, work…etc.  The band I’m in has been working on new material to add to our ever growing list of original songs, and it seems to be taking a fresh, new direction. Which I like.

It feels as if not only with the new music we are writing, but that my life is taking a fresh, new direction as well. Which I also like.

Change is good……..and scary as hell.

I think I’m just getting older and wiser, well, at least older.

 Time seems to fly by and years are starting to feel like months. Grey hairs are popping up and the rest of my hair is afraid of my forehead. All of which I don’t like that much. But, as with all things, we must change.

And, like I said, change is good…….but scary as hell.

I still feel like a 18 year old on the inside, but with the knowledge of a 28 year old. I still know how to have fun, but don’t do it as often. I still want to do all the things I did when I was young ; play baseball, basketball, party till the sun comes up, but my body feels it more than it use to.

I’ve moved past the point of no return. 

And I think I’m ok with it……maybe.

There, I said it.

But, at the same time, I don’t want to. I know I need to; it’s been a good 10 years of smoking and thats enough, but I’m not sure if I’m ready for it. My stress level is through the roof with work and other activities, especially this time of year and it calms me.

I feel like an angry little man all the time and I don’t like it. So I need to find a new vice.

Every single anchor they have on that station must have sold their soul to the devil. How else could you be such a unfeeling, selfish, lying piece of shit and not care.

Maybe they have some weird underground chamber where they desensitize all of the news personnel and teach them how to be giant dickheads. They waterboard all of them till they don’t care anymore. They hook jumper cables to their nipples till they’re all Republican.

All of them are this  cookie cutter replacement of the one that was on the air before them. It’s a woman, then a man, then a woman, etc…

I’m starting to think it’s just one robot that they change the face on for every show, except Glen Beck, he’s a fatter, more stupid, different looking robot.

If there is a Hell, FOX News is the most watched show down there. Actually I’m starting to wonder if the FOX News channel IS Hell.  If it is, I hope I don’t go there when I die.

I can barely stand listening to Bill O’reilly when I’m living, let alone for eternity sitting in a lake of fire.

 How do these people get to keep their drivers licence?

Oh, you only have one eye and just had a labotomy…..you can drive. Or, wow, glad to see its your one hundred and fifteenth birthday, you can drive still.

Or maybe, these people are just to busy watching their five T.Vs that are pre-installed in their cars to actually give a fuck about whats going on in front of them.

I firmly believe that you should have to take a I.Q test before you can drive. If your I.Q is the same as a piece of lint; no licence. End of story.

I don’t need some dumbass turning into Walmart, slamming his ’84 cutlass supreme into my driver side door, especially because he’s laughing at his Larry the Cable Guy CD.

Everybody needs to pay more attention to the world around them and less about the world inside them when they are driving. Larry the Cable Guy wouldn’t be funny enough to cover up killing someone because you wern’t paying attention. Now that’s the end of the story.

“Amongst the Waves” could end up being as much of a staple in PJs musical spectrum as “Nothingman” or “Daughter” and brings the same weight along with it as well. “Got Some” and “The Fixer” both show that the band still knows how to rock well into their 40s and is reminiscent of the pop-punkness of 1996′s “No Code”. 

 ”Gonna See My Friend”  is right up there with it’s brother’s “Spin the Black Circle”, “Lukin” and “Animal” and “Speed of Sound” is a cell-phone anthem if I ever heard one.

Why are so many celebrites so fucking weird?

I think it has nothing to do with being artistic and has more to do with being in the public eye. For example, Tom Cruise.

 I remember Tom when he wasn’t weird, like…Top Gun Tom or Color of Money Tom or, lets just say it, no Scientology Tom. Being in the public eye all the time drives people crazy. Which then leads people to things like crazy religous beliefs, or drugs, or drinking. To be honest, I haven’t ever seen an actor or musician or writer that isn’t a little……off. Maybe this is what draws us to these people. Maybe you have to be a little weird to actually make it in the biz.

Well, if thats the case, I’m going to start painting with my own blood, sperm and feces…..wait, I think thats been done already. Ok, maybe I’ll start doing street magic and freak people out by levitating…..wait, thats been done already too. Ok, maybe I’ll start doing huge amounts of cocaine and film it and sing songs about not wanting to go to rehab. Now I know this has been done before. Or I can start wearing weird outfits or become trans-gendery( is that a word?)or wear a sock on my penis during performances.

All of these things have been done by the people that we watch, listen to, or read.

I know that they do it for press, thats aparent, but some of them just do it because…..well, their weird.

Lady Gaga is way the fuck out there.

She dresses like she did at the VMA’s everyday, I know, because I saw pictures of her at the airport. Is it for attention? Are these people from Mars? Probably both…..maybe THATS why we follow these people.

Really, what it boils down to is they do the things we can’t do in our lives.They get to be on T.V and play in front of huge crowds everyday.They do coupious amounts of book signings and interviews. They do weird things to stay in the spotlight and we eat that shit up. Plus, most of them have more money than God and can do whatever they want anyways.

Why not act a little strange?

It just adds to the mystique and mystery of who they really are. This keeps their real lives out of the public eye (reality stars not included) and allows them to live, what they view as a normal life. Plus, it usually makes them more money.

I have been drinking coffee like I never new the stuff exsisted before. Maybe its the caffeine, maybe its the taste, I don’t know. But I’m drinking shit tons of the stuff as of late. I’ve become one of the drooling mass of Starbucks fanatics globe-wide, and I don’t care.

Thats right; I don’t care.

I’ve become a junkie. Not in the Heroin-alcoholic-crackhead sense, but a junkie of sorts. I NEED COFFEE!! EVERYDAY!!!   Ok, maybe I have become the above examples, but like I said ; I don’t care.

Why do the things that are so bad for you have to be so goddamn good? Maybe I’m trading vices here, I am trying to quit smoking (which is going as good as expected), but why get addicted to something else? Why coffee? Why now?  I would almost feel better if I drank my weight in beer for lunch everyday instead of being a …..dare I say….coffee drinker. But it tastes so good.

Why can’t I get addicted to water? Or celery? Or something healthy? But noooo, I have to like drinking and smoking …….wait…..I’ll just get addicted to swearing. That sounds like a viable vice. I’m going to start swearing like a sailor on shore leave. Who drinks alot of coffee.

The kids are the best though, always dancing or boping around to the mall music, flailing their limbs to and fro. Acting like they don’t have a care in the world and really, they don’t. All they care about is if they get Mac n’ cheese with their dinner, if Spongebob is on and to have you check to make sure there isn’t a monster under their bed. What a way to live.

Somewhere down the line we all lose this, we have to, but somethings don’t have to change. There should always be a kid left somewhere in us, especially if its the time in life we learned the most of what matters.

I wish everybody could be like those kids. Our world would be a much better and more fun place to be. Just imagine a buisness man on the streets of New York fliping his briefcase around, dancing, jamming on his I-pod. Never seen it, wish I could.

Hopefully when I get home, when I look in my closet, I find Where the Wild Things Are.

Rep. Wilson yells, ” You lie!” to our president, Brett Favre plays for the Vikings and Kanye West shows us all that he really is a giant asshole. Oddly enough, I’m more upset about the Kanye thing more than anything.

For some reason in this country people tend to just lash out and do/say what ever they want, forgetting the consequences. It happens every day. I’m sure someone did something to you today proving this point.

I guess we all have turrets syndrome once and a while, mine usually comes in the form of swear words, but since when has it shown with regular conversation? Yes, we have free speech, but why put someone else down while doing it?  Taylor Swift is a 17 year old girl and a man in his mid-30′s  saw fit to take her spotlight, when by all accounts, has enough of the spotlight for himself to begin with. Whats wrong with this picture? Are we all this egotistical?

We all need to take a long hard look at things like this and say, ” I don’t want to be that person”.

So, now I’ll go put on my tight black pants, listen to Thriller while Dirty Dancing to it with my fiancee, and boycott Kanye West for the rest of both of our exsistances.

And O’reilly, well…..what can I say, the guy is just a plain asshole with half the intelligence of a, well, asshole.  If your going to get your news, please, don’t listen to a drug addict or an asshole. If you do, you probably still think there are Weapons of Mass Destruction.
